Transition Policy Update

Sometimes a family and au pair will decide that the current placement is not the best fit for their needs and they will choose to enter into transition. While this is difficult for all parties and should be a last resort, should this be something that you experience, there are three updates to our transition policy that I wanted to make you aware of:
- We now require all families and au pairs to give the match one month as a period of adjustment before we will initiate a transition. Any relationship takes time to develop and we will ask all participants to make the effort for one month to work through this critical adjustment period.
- For all families on our Regular Payment Plan, transition balances will now be payable 60 days prior to the original program period instead of within 30 days of the transition au pair’s arrival.
- In the unusual situation where a family has a second transition (third au pair) on their program period (prior to 30 weeks on the program), we will now require a Transition Fee of $500 to cover additional costs and administration involved with multiple placements.
